All three formats put a place to sleep on a pickup. The difference is how much camper you want, and how much of your truck you are willing to give to it.
Topper or Pop-Up Topper
Clamps to the bed rails — no drilling — and leaves the bed floor free. A plain topper gives you secure storage; the pop-up version adds a tent bed in the roof. Lightest, lowest cost, and the truck still works as a truck every day.

Slide-In (Slide-On in Australia)
A complete camper body with its own floor and interior that slides into the bed and ties down. More comfort — seating, table, storage, optional kitchen and power — and it comes out again when you need the bed back.
Flatbed / Tray camper
For trucks running a flat tray. No wheel arches means a wider, squarer body with outside lockers. The most living space, and the most commitment: the tray replaces the factory bed.

Quick rule of thumb
- Weekend trips and a daily-driver truck: Pop-Up Topper.
- Longer trips, two people, more comfort: Slide-In / Slide-On.
- Long-range travel on a tray-back truck: Flatbed / Tray camper.
Whichever you choose, payload matters. Check your truck's rated payload and tell us what else you carry — we will help you size the camper accordingly.
